“There are many ways of going forward but only one way of standing still”. ~ Franklin Roosevelt
Topics I Address
I work with a number of counseling topics. I have experience with the treatment of abuse, anxiety, attachment, conflict, family relationships, grief, loss, school problems, stress, trauma, career choices and changes. I look forward to partnering with you to help find solutions to the challenges faced.
My Thoughts on the Therapeutic Process
The decision to come to therapy opens doors of hope and change. It allows you to gain a better sense of self as you engage in a consistent therapeutic process. It helps you to achieve your most ardent goals as you chart a new course to become the person you desire. With compassion and understanding, I will partner with you in addressing contemporary challenges and long standing concerns. The approach is collaborative, interactive and solution-focused. I provide guidance and support with insight and direct feedback using evidence based approaches that result in mindful solutions to an extensive range of challenges and psychological concerns. It helps you to recognize the disparity between what you are currently experiencing and what you would like to experience. The focus is on the present and future, instead than on the past, in order to effect genuine change.
My Professional Experience
It has been my privilege to work collaboratively with individuals of all ages, cultures and beliefs, in multiple settings; home, school, community, outpatient, and within organizations. Many of the practices have allowed me to be a pioneer in the advancement of inaugural psychotherapeutic approaches that are transformative.
